Updating Multiple Opportunities

You can update multiple opportunities at once using the Update Opportunities dialog box.

To update multiple opportunities

1. On the Navigation Bar, click the Opportunities button.
2. From the Opportunity Group drop-down list, click the group that contains the opportunities that you want to update.
3. On the Opportunities menu, select Update Multiple Opportunities.

4. Click the drop-down arrow near the bottom of the Update Opportunities dialog box, select the information you want to update, and then enter your changes in the boxes that appear next to the drop-down box. Select from the following options:

• Account Manager

1. Select Account Manager from the drop-down list near the bottom of the dialog box.
2. Click the Change Acct. Mgr. to Find button, select a new account manager from the list, and then click OK.

• Add to Forecast

1. Select Add to Forecast? from the drop-down list near the bottom of the dialog box.
2. Select Yes to include opportunities in forecasting reports, or select No to exclude opportunities from forecasting reports.

• Close Prob %

1. Select Close Prob% from the drop-down list near the bottom of the dialog box.
2. Click the ellipsis button, and then click a new close probability from the list.

• Comments

1. Select Comments from the drop-down list near the bottom of the dialog box.
2. Type your notes in the box next to the drop-down box.

• Est. Close

1. Select Est. Close from the drop-down list near the bottom of the dialog box.
2. Select how you would like to update the estimated close date:
• To move the estimated close date to a specific date, select the To option, click the Calendar/Time button, select a new date, and then click OK.
• To move the estimated close date backwards a certain number of days, select the Move option, select Backward from the drop-down list, and then enter the number of days you want to move the date backwards.
• To move the estimated close date forward a certain number of days, click the Move option, select Forward from the drop-down list, and then enter the number of days you want to move the date forward.

5. Click the Select check boxes of the opportunities you want to update, or click the Select All button to update all of the listed opportunities.
6. Click Update.

To view opportunity summary information

Use the Opportunity Summary section to view opportunity information.

To edit another group of opportunities

• Open the group you want to edit using the Opportunity Group drop-down list.
